IfYoureReadingThis.org is one of many great resources available to Northwestern University students. Below we’ve provided a brief description of a few of these resources, as well as how to access them. While this list is not exhaustive, we hope it is helpful.
COUNSELING AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
CAPS serves as the primary mental health service at Northwestern University with offices on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses. CAPS provides a set of core services, including clinical services, educational workshops, and consultation with faculty, staff, and parents. CAPS is free to full-time matriculated students and based on a short-term model.

CENTER FOR AWARENESS, RESPONSE & EDUCATION (CARE)
The mission of CARE is to create a culture of healthy sexuality at Northwestern University where sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking are not tolerated. CARE is a confidential space for students impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence or stalking, including friends or partners of survivors.

TIMELY CARE
TimelyCare is offered to Northwestern students at no cost and offers various services. TalkNow connects a student with a licensed counselor. There is a limit of 12 scheduled appointments per academic year. Health coaching is also available and provides information and guided sessions on well-being topics such as dealing with conflict, time management, exercise, sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness.

Health Promotion and Wellness is the primary provider of health promotion, education, and prevention programs and services on alcohol, other drugs, and wellness issues for Northwestern University students. The mission of Health Promotion and Wellness is to educate and empower students to make healthy decisions that enhance individual success and community well-being.
