If you’re reading this, thank you for supporting our chapter. It truly means the world.

My name is Prarthna Batra, and I’m a junior at Wake Forest University majoring in Psychology with minors in Communication and Counseling. I am so excited to be leading the Wake Forest chapter of IfYoureReadingThis for the second year, alongside my co-president, Georgia.

I’m from New Delhi, and since my high school years, my mental health has been something I have greatly struggled with. I then realized how hard it is to have conversations surrounding mental health, whether it be seeking professional help or even talking to your family.

When I came across IfYoureReadingThis and its mission, I knew it was the change in community and conversation that I so desperately wanted to see, and I knew I had to contribute to it. The last two years of being a part of this community, which continues to grow bigger and bigger, have been an enriching part of my college experience and my personal mental health journey.

I hope that this semester, we can continue bringing about change and positivity in the world!

Sincerely,

Prarthna Batra, Co-President

My name is Brinda Laddha, and I am a sophomore at Wake Forest majoring in Statistics with minors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. I joined IfYoureReadingThis WFU because I believe in the power of community and honest conversations around mental health. College can be overwhelming, and too often, students struggle in silence. This organization creates a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

For me, mental health isn't just a conversation—it’s about action. Whether it’s amplifying personal stories, reducing stigma, or simply being someone who listens, I want to contribute to a culture where asking for help is normal, not difficult. If sharing experiences helps even one person feel less alone, it’s worth it.

Sincerely,

Brinda Laddha, Treasurer

My name is Georgia Meyer, and I am a junior at Wake Forest University majoring in Psychology with minors in Entrepreneurship and Italian Language and Culture. This year, I am serving as the co-president of IfYoureReadingThis WFU alongside Prarthna.

Over the past four years, IfYoureReadingThis WFU has grown tremendously, and I’m excited to continue expanding our chapter alongside my fellow team members. As we enter the spring semester, we are committed to strengthening IfYoureReadingThis’ presence on Wake Forest University’s campus.

With more students facing mental health challenges daily, we are eager to tackle this issue head-on by posting weekly letters and expanding our outreach and partnership initiatives. From encouraging more students and faculty to share their stories to collaborating with campus organizations, our team is dedicated to increasing awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding conversations about mental health.

In our eyes, mental health comes first. We are committed to fostering a supportive, open community where every student feels heard and valued. By amplifying personal experiences and encouraging meaningful conversations, we hope to break down barriers and create a campus culture that truly prioritizes mental well-being.

Here’s to a semester of growth, connection, and impact! 💙

Sincerely,

Georgia Meyer, Co-President
