It’s the day before graduation, and in this letter, the six graduating seniors from the IfYoureReadingThis Boston College team share “if you’re reading this statements” for Boston College students. Read for 24 sentiments from the Class of 2024.

If you’re reading this…

  1. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

  2. There are people here for you! You can find them, and they will find you!

  3. You are so loved. Connection is always available for you here. Keep reminding yourself of that!

  4. Soak it all in, every moment. Listen to your body.  Be receptive using each of your senses. How can you receive the beauty of the present moment more fully? Do that!

  5. It’s okay to leave with friends different than those you started with.

  6. It’s okay if your college experience looked different than what you expected or hoped for.

  7. You have so much to be proud of.

  8. This is but one step in your journey, whether it’s one of the best experiences or not, you have so much more to look forward to.

  9. What is meant for you will not escape you. Everything is coming your way.

  10. You are on your own timeline. It’s okay if things don’t go exactly as planned.

  11. Stay true to yourself, and let your intuition guide you into whole-self embodiment

  12. Find people who lift you up and help you embrace who you really are.

  13. Be present with your friends as much as you can! It’s the little things you’ll always remember most.

  14. Listening to yourself is the most important thing- if you want a night in take one!

  15. Relationships with professors who become mentors are some of the most valuable relationships I’m leaving with. Seek out the professors you share passions with!

  16. These are some of the most transformative years of our lives. Embrace all of the ride, even if it’s not always the best.

  17. Timelines are not one size fits all. Take your time, there’s no need to rush through your journey

  18. Every experience you have had thus far has led you to where you are now, make more memories and reflect on the ones of the past

  19. You are right where you need to be, good things will come

  20. This is a period of change, try to embrace it and you will find the beauty in what is unknown

  21. Try your best to stay in the present but don’t get mad at yourself if you veer off track.

  22. Don’t feel pressured to conform to the status quo of college and post-college life

  23. Remember that everyone is undergoing their own personal struggles and may not understand the full extent of yours.

  24. Embrace the beauty of change and tradition as it brings us closer to who we are.

If you’re reading this, we love you.

Sincerely, IYRT BC Seniors
