If you’re reading this, you are lucky to be here.

Everyone struggles differently. Some people are very open about their struggles, some people are very private about their struggles. There is no right or wrong way to go about the challenges you face, but just know that every day you make the choice to be here, is another reason why you are so lucky.

You and I were put on this Earth for a reason or else we wouldn’t be here. We are all beaming lights of joy, strength, and resilience designed to uplift and be uplifted by others. Whether you notice it or not, there is someone that loves you. A stranger whose day shines brighter because of the smile you gave them in passing, a peer who found comfort and relatability in the confused look you gave the board in class, or even a friend who finds solace in your presence. For those reasons– and many, many more– you, me, and everyone else are SO lucky to be here.

Sometimes the days are gloomy, and the nights are long, and sometimes you feel like you don’t have anybody to turn to who will understand you. However, your village is reliable. Your people love you, God loves you, strangers love you, and your community loves you too. You are lucky to be surrounded by so many people with arms wide open willing to help you keep pushing through and willing to help pick up the broken pieces when you get tired. The people who love you are so happy to be able to help rather than watch you give up. You matter and are lucky to be here.
