If you're reading this, I want you to know that your feelings are valid, and you are not alone.
There were times when I felt out of place, struggling to find my community and understand where I fit in. Being an immigrant, stepping into spaces where I didn't always see people who looked like me, and trying to navigate a new environment at WSU were all overwhelming.
I remember a moment when I walked into a cultural club meeting, hoping to connect, only to feel like I didn't belong. But over time, I learned that those feelings are temporary. I found strength in embracing my differences and turning them into a source of pride. Now, I am dedicated to creating spaces where everyone feels included, because no one should feel like an outsider.
If you’re feeling lost or struggling to fit in, please remember that your voice matters. It takes time, but there’s always a place where you belong, where your presence makes a difference. I’m rooting for you, and so are so many others—even if you haven’t met them yet. Reach out, connect, and don’t be afraid to share your story, because it might just be the strength someone else needs to hear.
Your story is far from over—it's just beginning, and it’s one worth telling
